Open Doors center offers several types of education consultation.
HOW TO START A SCHOOL
Many people these days are looking to start their own school. It can be a baffling process, especially in the beginning. Terry Damlos offers a step by step approach and coaching for those individuals who are interested in opening their own school. This process includes:
1. A two day workshop where all interested parties come together to brainstorm ideas. Terry will act as a facilitator in this process and take the group through the initial phase of what it takes to open a school.
2. Following the workshop Terry will offer phone support...one hour a week for six months...directing the group (or individual).
3. The next six months Terry will offer phone support and consultation two times monthly.
4. When the school is ready to open Terry will offer a final workshop. This will include building a sense of community for staff, children, and parents.

CHILD EDUCATIONAL PLACEMENT IN ALTERNATIVE SETTINGS
Terry will work with families to discern appropriate educational placement for the children. This will include looking at the child's past educational experience, what the family wants the child to achieve, and how the child feels about their own educational experience.
